Third tax tranche, apply now for an interest-free instalment

https://www.uniupo.it/en/studentinfo/fees-and-taxes/third-tax-tranche-apply-now-interest-free-instalment

You can apply to pay the third and final fee of 2020-21 in instalments without added interest – this can be broken down into 2, 3 or 4 ‘sub-instalments’ of equal sum with deferred payments.

The deadlines are:

  • 30 April 2021
  • 30 May 2021
  • 29 June 2021
  • 29 July 2021

Payment of the first sub-instalment must be made by and no later than 30 April 2021.

If you do not wish to take advantage of this opportunity, you should pay the whole last fee instalment as usual, by the previously stated deadline, i.e. 30 April 2021

Methods of payment are listed on the university website on the page Come pagare le tasse universitarie (How to pay the university fees)

Requisites

At the date in which you request the ulterior instalment payment scheme (by 23/04/2021):

  1. You must be duly enrolled on a Bachelor’s degree programme, a specialisation/Master’s degree programme or a single cycle Master’s degree for the academic year in progress (2020-21) and must not have any outstanding debts with the University.
If you are enrolled “conditionally” (i.e. you chose not to renew your enrolment for the current academic year within normal terms, declaring instead your intention to graduate within the extra session for academic year 2019/2020, and this possibility was not fulfilled), you must pay the first and second instalment before requesting an ulterior instalment scheme for the third fee payment
  2. The sum of the third instalment must be equal or greater than 300 euro, independently of the regime chosen
  3. You must sign the Declaration of intent contained in the Application, with which you agree to pay all debts within the stated deadlines.

Submission of Application (deadline 23/04/2021)

The application form, here, should be printed, completed, and signed.

Send by 23/04/2021, attaching a photocopy of a valid identity document

  1. by email to Student Services of your Department (all contact information is available in the Useful Contacts section), solely from your official university email address (matricola @ studenti.uniupo.it);
  2. by registered post to the Student Services address published on your Department website; this must arrive by 23/04/2021.

Only when we receive the application form can we proceed to provision of payment slips for the sub-instalments, which we will make available as usual on your own page in the Student Portal. This is the only method of payment accepted.

You are responsible for checking the result of your application for sub-instalments — and subsequent payslips with the new sums — again in your own account on the Student Portal in time to make the payment within the first deadline (30/04/2021).

Following receipt of the application form, no further requests for modification of payment conditions will be accepted.

Requests for sub-instalment schemes for different fees or sums from those of the 3rd instalment of 2020/2021 will not be accepted.

Terms and conditions

By requesting a sub-instalment scheme, you implicitly express an intention to pay the third fee in its entirety. This obliges you to respect all deferred payment deadlines, as agreed.

Failure to pay a sub-instalment – or failure to pay the whole fee – will result in the immediate suspension of your university course until all fees and administrative duties are resolved.

Any termination/suspension of your university course (dropping out of course, transfer, graduation, etc) will result in the automatic annulment of your right to the instalment scheme. In this event, you may end your university course only after resolving your situation with payment of the entire third instalment.

If, after approval for the sub-instalment scheme, you choose to graduate in the summer session (June/July 2021), you must pay all remaining instalments in one single payment before submitting the application to graduate according to each Department’s deadlines.

In the event of non-payment or annulment of the service, you will be considered “overdue in fee payment” already from the first instalment deadline. If you do not resolve this payment situation, any exams that you take in the meanwhile will be declared null and void.

Late payment and penalties

If you pay any instalments late, including the first instalment, a penalty of 150 euro will be applied. If the delay is of 5 working days or less, this sum will be reduced to 25 euro, as stated in the Students’ Handbook and Fees Guidelines.

Please make note of your own bank’s payment time policies, to avoid this penalty.
