The Erasmus Sectorial Programme allows you to register for traineeships at businesses, training centres and research centres in one of the participating countries. The scheme excludes European institutes and organisations that manage European projects.

As an Erasmus student, you can receive an ad hoc grant for the entirety of your traineeship and the opportunity to acquire specific skills and improved knowledge of the socio-economic culture of the host country, backed by a preparation/refresher course in the native language of your host country (or the working language).

Before departure, you must hold a Learning Agreement for Traineeship (undersigned by yourself, the university and the partner host.) The traineeship must be covered by a financial agreement underwritten by you and the university.

The traineeship must last a minimum of 2 months and maximum of 6 months. Activities under the duration of 2 months or over 6 months are not permitted and not funded. The traineeship must be continuous.

At the end of the period, the University guarantees total recognition of the activity stated in the Learning Agreement for Traineeship if successfully completed.

To be eligible for this programme, you must be enrolled on a Degree course. If you have just finished your studies, are pursuing a doctorate or are enrolled on individual modules/courses, you cannot participate.

Disabled students are eligible for specific funding.
