As part of collaborative activities, organizations and companies can finance, in whole or in part, doctoral scholarships on research topics of common interest.

Doctoral collaboration can take place through:

•  the financing, in whole or in part, of a scholarship for a Doctoral Course already active in UPO
• the financing of a higher education and research apprenticeship (AAFR) – (Apprendistato di alta formazione)
• the activation of an associated doctorate course pursuant to art. of 226/2021

For the XXXIX cycle, the University participates in the following PhD courses in association with other universities:

• PhD in Sustainable Development and Cooperation  with administrative headquarters at the University of Turin and in consortium with the University of Antananarivo (Madagascar)
• PhD "FINO" (Northwestern Italian Philosophy Consortium) with administrative headquarters at the University of Eastern Piedmont, in consortium with the Universities of Turin, Genoa and Pavia
