Whatever your level, the Rosetta Stone Catalyst Platform is the ideal tool to help you improve your knowledge of foreign languages, thanks to its hybrid method of online-offline education.

Many languages are available, with targeted programmes that help you progress towards mastery of your language of choice.

What does the Platform offer?

Rosetta Stone Catalyst adapts to each student on the basis of a language proficiency assessment that is compliant to the European Common Framework of Reference for Languages (ECFR). When logging on for the first time, the user is asked to complete a short questionnaire which acts as a placement test. The software analyses the user’s language and organisational needs before suggesting the most suitable study programme.

The user has access to all available languages on the platform (24 languages). He/she can switch freely between one language and another, via the personal account page before accessing the lessons (upper right-hand icon). When the user changes language and returns to the previous language, he/she will find the activity that has been stored.

 

Users who have previously used the platform will find their learning history stored in their own account. It is possible to ask ProLingua to change level or reset the score and start again.

Who is the Rosetta Stone Catalyst platform designed for and who can access it?

The Platform is available for all users in the UPO community.

Access to the platform is possible until the maximum number of licences available has been reached.

How to access the platform

• To access the Rosetta Stone platform, click on the following link: https://www.prolingua.it/uniupo
• Click on the “Login” key and insert your email address (institutional UPO email) and password (access takes place via the University SSO

PLEASE NOTE: students must activate their email account according to the instructions received at time of enrolment.

Which email address should I use?

To complete registration, it is necessary to have activated an official UPO email address.

How long does the service last?

The service can be used until 15/12/2022, regardless of the date of activation of your personal account.

If the service is not used for more than three months, your licence will be re-assigned to another user.

How do the APPs work?

Once you have completed the initial placement test to check your knowledge of the language, it is possible to download the app (see the page below the question “How to access”):

• Foundations, with a yellow background, for levels from A1 to B1

For access to this app, it is necessary to key in also the following namespace:uniupo

• Fluency Builder, with white background, for levels from B2 upward

Please note: from the APP you must access via: “I already have an SSO code”

ProLingua Support

From the webpage https://www.prolingua.it/uniupo, it is possible to fill in the ProLingua form for technical assistance.

Prolingua assistance is available only for technical problems or when changing level; it does not offer any aid with academic/linguistic questions.

Who is the Personal Data Controller?

The account is activated directly by Rosetta Stone, which will deal with all necessary personal detail in compliance with the privacy law (Privacy Policy)
