Google Apps for Education
The Università del Piemonte Orientale has signed an agreement with Google to provide students and staff with Google Apps for Education, an application suite for email and collaboration tools, designed specifically for schools and universities.
As well as a new email account (accessed directly from the Google homepage, as with traditional Gmail accounts, or from mail.unipo.it, and available via web on any device using your own credentials), we also supply, without any further registration necessary, the services offered in the Google Apps for Education suite.
- Email account with a minimum storage capacity of 7 GB, complete with an antispam filter
- Webchat, allowing you to chat (audio/video) with other @unipo.it and @gmail users
- Unlimited storage space on Google Drive
- Other available apps: Classroom, Contacts, Documents/Sheets/Presentations (the “Google versions” of Word/Excel/PowerPoint), Group Talk/Hangouts

Office package free for all!
UPO has activated a new “benefit” in the form of a Microsoft Campus Agreement stipulato drawn up with the U.S. company. All university students and staff can enjoy free access to the Apps of “Office 365” throughout the duration of the deal with Microsoft (3 years).
