The Departments of Excellence represent an innovative policy with strong economic support, provided for by the budget law of 2017. This intervention aims to identify and fund (in five-year sessions and within the 14 CUN areas) the 180 best public university departments. These are departments which stand out for the quality of their research output and development projects.
