The insurance policies proposed by the Università del Piemonte Orientale guarantee for the Staff and the Students for different risks connected to the didactic and research activities – also in case of International Mobility.

The insurance services offered are:
1 - Accidents Insurance
The Accidents insurance n. 407517741 (valid from 30/09/2021 to 30/03/2025) is stipulated with the AXA Assicurazioni S.p.A insurance agency.
The insurance covers professional accident that staff and students could suffer during their works or job assignment for the hosting University or hosting Organization. It also covers for the accident involved in the work travels or work transfers.
This insurance pays medical costs resulting from the accident.
There are same situations in which this insurance is not valid:
- driving aircraft or underwater transport;
- skydiving;
- sport competition;
- wars or insurrections (only if the person is surprised by the war and does not leave within 14 days from the beginning of the war);
- crimes;
- atomic accidents;
- drug abuse;
- alcohol abuse;
- chirurgical operations not necessary to solve the accident.
2 - Liability Insurance
The Liability insurance n. 202424700 (valid from 31/12/2021 to 31/12/2024) is stipulated with the NOBIS Campagnia di Assicurazioni insurance company.
This insurance protects the Staff and the Students in case they are involved in some law issues according to their work. The insurance company will cover the costs of the damages not-intentionally caused to other people.
The Liability Insurance doesn’t cover the following damages:
- explosives utilization;
- electromagnetic fields induced;
- war actions;
- asbestos;
- fireworks utilization;
- genetic engineering actions;
- medical service.
Health Insurance
For the Health insurance, we remind that is sufficient the TEAM card (health/medical card) in case of Staff or Students mobility in the European Union countries. This kind of insurance is minimal.
In case there is the necessity of a more complete health insurance, Staff and Students will personally provide to find an insurance broker.
Likewise, for the Staff or the Students who make an extra-UE mobility, it won’t be responsibility of the University del Piemonte Orientale to activate a Health insurance for them. We suggest to check the ministerial website https://www.viaggiaresicuri.it/home.
