In 2035 UP University will be perceived by our regions and Europe as a well-established interuniversity campus playing a pivotal role in our regions as a catalyst for educational and regional transformative innovation.

As a European university, we shape sustainable and resilient societies and economies, with a specific focus on advancing in the fields of health and wellbeing (SDG3), sustainable communities (SDG11) and sustainable production and consumption (SDG 12).

We will achieve our vision by:

• Transcending institutional barriers and establishing an operative European interuniversity campus, based on joint governance, lean processes, and the integration of digital technologies and environmentally sustainable practices.
• Creating, with our regions, a comprehensive and inclusive joint educational offer aiming to cultivate future-proof skills and impart sustainable living practices for resilient and interconnected societies. The programme offers high-quality flexible learning paths based on various innovative teaching methods for different student profiles, including lifelong learners.
• Facilitating Science with and for Society by creating an environment that stimulates learning, research and innovation based on regional challenges in a real-life and collaborative setting. We aim to amplify transformative innovation and competitiveness in each partner region and scale our impact to the European level.
• Implementing a comprehensive internationalisation strategy leading to more green and inclusive international mobility opportunities in learning and research for all participants, including those with fewer opportunities.
• Fostering a global cultural mindshift towards active citizenship and impact that extends beyond our institutions, regions and countries through effective engagement, communication, dissemination, exploitation, and open education, science and innovation practices.
• Securing the sustainability of UP university within the European higher education landscape by developing an UP University model for sustainable institutional cooperation. This approach solidifies UP University’s pivotal role in advocating responsible living within the regions, Europe, and beyond, simultaneously enhancing the competitiveness of the EEA and ERA.
