Double degree

Why would you not consider to get a double degree?

It is a joint programme that involves your working in two different universities in parallel – the first one is your home institution, the second one is a university in a different country – and allows you to receive a diploma from each. A double dregree will be an important asset in your CV.

Let’s point out some of the benefits of a double degree:

  • It is a challenge that gives you the opportunity to have new academic experiences;
  • It increases your cultural and social background;
  • It creates an international business network;
  • It allows you to be part of an international community;
  • It allows you to sow the seeds of a brilliant international career.

Students selected by their home University within Double Degree agreements can can be regularly enrolled at our University.

Currently, incoming students do not pay any university fee, and no financial contribution can be offered to them.

UPO provides insurance and the same services enjoyed by Erasmus students. Incoming ‘Double Degree’ are also supported by UPO when applying for their “codice fiscale” (the Italian Tax Identification Number) and their residence permit (it only applies to non-EU students).

Application deadline:
30th June for fall semester/ all year
31st October: spring semester

First step: registration (on the left) : fill with all the information and you will create a new user with password.

We require some compulsory documents in our online application:

  • Identity Card
  • Languages certification or Self- certification English and/or Italian 
  • Photo
  • Learning Agreement signed by the Sending Institution.

N.B as international prefix, use double 00 in front of it, not + (es. 0034 not +34).

Uploading your Identity Card you will find your data already there, but you need upload again your data and the attachment.

You will sent us (erasmus@uniupo.it) the registration form duly signed with their attachments. In this form it's necessary fill the missing information ( Area, Sending Institution's International Office info) and cross the level or study and period.

There is a blank space after "Accommodation " you should NOT fill it, if you need an accommodation below you will find the mail addresses needed.

For the residence in you should contact servizi.studenti@uniupo.it, in order to rent a flat you should contact Gentian Beqo, q.beqo@fondazionefalciola.it.

Our University is dislocated in 3 cities:* Novara, Vercelli and Alessandria.
In Vercelli there is the Humanities Department.
In Alessandria there are Political Science Department.
