The PoC Instrument (PoC – Proof of Concept) Initiative forms part of the activity pertaining to an agreement undersigned by the Compagnia di San Paolo with 5 Italian universities for the 3-year period 2019-2021: Politecnico di Torino, Università degli Studi di Torino, Università del Piemonte Orientale, Università degli Studi di Genova and Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.
The aim is to support the activity necessary to enable the transition from patented technologies or software belonging to the university: from the initial stages of development to a relatively advanced stage whereby its industrial use potential can be clearly recognised. This reduces technological risk and promotes future commercial use, also by the creation of university spin-off companies.
Through this initiative, employees of the departments may apply for funding for the development of prototypes or demonstrators by participating in the PoC Call.
