TEAMS 3.0 is the third in a series of projects funded by the European Commission via the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG-ECHO).

The aim is to design, implement and activate a specific training programme for the teams of doctors, nurses and logistics service providers in field hospitals of humanitarian missions (Emergency Medical Teams.) To the present time, one German and one Turkish team have been trained, thanks to a cogent training package developed in partnership with Karolinska Institute, University Medenyiet of Istanbul, University of Tel Aviv, Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute of Manchester, the German NGO Humedica, and the Novara company Novareckon.

Based on the groundwork set in two previous projects, TEAMS 3.0 sets out to expand the trainng package, taking into consideration new emergency scenarios, and test it with new medical emergency teams in Norway, Portugal, Germany and Turkey, before offering it as the standard for training of European Emergency Medical Teams.
