The project sets out to study new techniques for the the regeneration of cartilage tissue in the knee, in the event of minor or major damage.

These technologies include bioinks with stem cells to be used for customised 3D printing on the basis of MR images.

The technologies developed include antibacterial and anti-inflammation drugs. The project is designed to insert biosensors within the regenerated cartilage tissue in order to control its functioning from outside thanks to the ‘Internet of things’ approach.
