The PRIME project aims to study, develop and demonstrate advanced processes of sustainable chemistry in biorefineries that can transform sustainable raw materials and waste products in the Piedmont region into bio-products and biomaterials with functional properties equivalent to, or better than, existing alternatives on the market (with a view to circular bioeconomy and optimised use of resources).

The project involves 26 partners comprising 4 universities, 5 large companies, 9 research centres, and 12 small-medium companies including Novamont (project coordinator), Università degli Studi del Piemonte Orientale, Politecnico di Torino, Università degli Studi di Torino, Università di Scienze Gastronomiche, Centro Ricerche Fiat, Sinterama, Sedamyl, Environment Park, Università degli Studi di Trieste, Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Fondazione Benvenuti In Italia, Proplast, De Martini, Grinp, Biosphere, Hysytech, Costantino & C, Roelmi HPC, Farmaceutici Procemsa, Circ, Reynaldi, Gallicchio Stampi and Verplast.
