Centro Interateneo di Studi per la Pace CISP which brings together the University of Eastern Piedmont, the University of Turin and the Polytechnic University of Turin, aims to encourage the meeting of scholars and scholars who differ in their cultural background and scientific approach, but who share an interest in peace studies. At the same time, CISP aims to consolidate the dialogue between the university world and a network of actors and associations that cultivate such studies outside the strictly academic environment.

The research promoted by CISP can be traced to three main areas-peace; war and its limits; and international justice-investigated from a multi- and interdisciplinary perspective, ranging from the humanities and social sciences to the natural sciences, and resulting in the publication of edited volumes and papers geared to stimulate public discussion.

Director of CISP is Prof. Massimo Zucchetti (Politecnico di Torino).

UPO representatives on the Scientific Committee are Prof. Stefano Quirico, Prof. Giorgio Barberis and Dr. Stefano Saluzzo (DIGSPES)
