The Academic Certificate is designed to offer a basic grounding in computer programming, starting with the concept of algorithms using flowcharts and Python programming language. It supplies algorithm analysis methods, also for recursive algorithms. Fundamental data structures will be described along with a subset of fundamental algorithms used with these structures. The courses also involve practical lab work.
Course activity: June-September 2023
Code | Description | SSD | CFU | Hours | Semester | Location |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
MF0572 | Fundamentals of algorithns and data structures | INF/01 | 6 | 48 | Summer | Alessandria |
MF0571 | Fundamentals of programming | INF/01 | 6 | 48 | Summer | Alessandria |
Educational Goals
The student will be able to use top-down methods of problem analysis. Specifically, he/she will acquire the ability to: define input and output, create flowcharts, create Python language programmes. The student will acquire knowledge of fundamental data structures and the ability to use them to resolve simple problems, He/she will be able to analyse data algorithms, both recursive and iterative. He/she will learn how to describe search and sort algorithms, as well as apply a specific algorithm to a set problem.
Course assessment
Assessment of course success and achievement of goals is given in a grade (thirty marks) for each training activity of the course.
On request and subject to payment of a revenue stamp, a certificate of course success and acquisition of credits may be issued.
It is possible to take the exams until the special session of the academic year.
