Deadlines

You can apply:

  • In the period from 15 June to 30 July for the first semester
  • In the period from 1° September to 31 October for the second semester

Applications after the deadline will be evaluated case by case.

Before leaving

1. Once your university has officially informed us that you wish to study at UPO, you must complete the online application form (see section “How to apply for a mobility scheme”). Print a copy and have it signed by your supervisor. You must bring with you the original document to the Records Office.

2. Get to know the UPO admin offices, which will be a constant point of reference for you. Check our website, where you will find:

  • Erasmus and International Students Office (Rector’s offices)
  • Student Secretariat of the department where you will study
  • Erasmus coordinators at the Department where you will study (teachers, staff)
  • Student Services for assistance in housing, disability requirements, etc.

Our Erasmus and International Students Office (Rector’s offices) is the department that coordinates all administrative and organisational issues of the various activities, interacting with representatives inside and outside the foreign universities and of international partnerships. This office also offers assistance to EU and non-EU students in collecting the necessary documentation for enrolment at UPO and other admin necessities for a stay in Italy.

3. Decide which courses you will attend at UPO, supported by your tutor from your home university.

4. After booking a flight, or when planning your arrival, send an email to the Student Secretariat team, telling them of the date of your arrival in order to organise a meeting.

5. Send an e-mail to your Erasmus supervisor at UPO, to organise a meeting.

6. Regarding accommodation, see the page “Accommodation in the city of UPO”. You can request a room at the EDISU residential halls or rent a private apartment. If you choose to stay in a residential hall, contact Student Services by email: servizi.studenti@uniupo.it

7. Remember to bring these essential documents with you:

  • Your identity card or passaport (check that they are not expired)
  • Your European Health Insurance card
  • Your signed Learning Agreement and certification of your 'Erasmus status' from your home university
  • Travel insurance policy (only if you are a non-EU student).

Upon arrival

Visit the Student Secretariat of your department and register as an Erasmus student. Remember to bring your valid identity card or passport, your Learning agreement, the certificate from your home university that confirms your Erasmus status, and your European Health Insurance card.

  • Contact the Erasmus supervisor (Professor/admin staff) of your Department
  • When you register, you will be informed how to receive a tax code number, an e-mail address and a canteen pass.

Begin your Erasmus experience and ENJOY IT!
