New guidelines for university activities from Monday, April 26th

the Coordination Committee of the Universities of Piemonte approved the new guidelines for University activities yesterday. According to them, the Rector issued the following rules, in full compliance with the anti-Covid prevention and safety protocols:

 

1. Classes primarily take place in the University halls (booking is compulsory via Upofrequency app or via UPO Planner website). Students who cannot attend classes can follow them remotely or make up the missed ones with specific measures.

2. Written and oral exams are primarily held in the University halls. Online exams are guaranteed for students who cannot be present for serious and proven reasons;

3. Graduation sessions are primarily held in the University halls. Online graduation sessions exams are guaranteed for students who cannot be present for serious and proven reasons.

4. The graduation ceremonies take place in the University halls.

5. Laboratories, teaching or research activities (including theses and PhDs), experiential activities, lectorates, development of prototypes and experimental systems, orientation and tutoring activities are carried out in the University halls.

6. The training activities of MDs in specialist training and trainees of the health professions take place in the University halls.

7. Internships take place in the University premises.

8. Internships outside the University take place at the companies’ sites in compliance with the prevention and safety protocols implemented by the hosting organizations.

9. Library services are primarily provided face to face.

10. Study rooms are open;

11. Teachers meet students for private talks by appointment in the University premises.

12. The activities related to master's and advanced courses take place in the University premises; if they have already been programmed online when the course was being set up, they can continue in this way.

 

These rules are valid from Monday 26 April 2021 until the end of the second semester of the current academic year, unless further government or regional provisions are decided.
