Course overview
The degree course in Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences trains a professional figure who can perform (either autonomously or as part of a team) all diagnostic tests commissioned by a radiologist that require the use of ionising radiation, thermal and ultrasonic energy, and magnetic resonance, as well as physical protection and dosimetry. The course covers (in addition to the general scientific base) specific topics such as Diagnostic Imaging, Radiotherapy, Nuclear Medicine and the digitalisation, archiving and transmission of images. The course also guarantees up-to-date training in ionising radiation protection. During a professional internship that offers a broad range of activities, the student can apply the principles acquired during frontal lessons.
