Course overview

In this 6-year programme, teachers and tutors will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become surgeons, through theory lessons and clinical placements in small groups following SIMNOVA activity. Your training will consist of a solid grounding in biomedical and bio-psychosocial approaches, a multidisciplinary and integrated perspective of health-related problems and disease, an education focusing on community and public health, disease prevention and health promotion. The course sets out to respond to new healthcare demands, taking into account not only the disease but also, and above all, the person with the disease – consisting of both body and psyche, within a specific social context.
